Hi

My name is Scott Callis(Matua Scott) and I am the Electronics and Design teacher at the Ngaruwahia Technology Centre, Ngaruawahia Primary School.

I am a proud Hamiltonian who was born at Waikato Hospital last millennium.

I grew up in the suburb of Hillcrest where I attended the local schools before heading to Waikato University to study for my Bachelor of Teaching degree.

After University I spent 2 years doing my OE where I lived and taught in London while doing a bit of travelling.

On returning to Aotearoa I continued to teach in a number of different schools. They included
St Peter’s School, Maeroa Intermediate, Gordonton School and now NPS!

I enjoy the challenges that teaching brings and the way students work together to solve problems within a technology context.

I live in Hamilton with my fiancé Shannon and our dog Murphy. I enjoy watching many different sports, travelling around NZ, spending time with whanau and am currently learning to try and play the guitar!!
